Prime Rib Dinner Take Two!

Well it's the morning after the Prime Rib Dinner, and well it went so well last night! Everyone came over once Mass let out, then our violinist/fiddler for the night made his way over and was ready to play once he was fed! The atmosphere was great, people were spedning their money on the autographed books, the raffles we had going, and drinks! Even though I wasn't a server this year, I got the next best thing. I was the greeter, and although I compleatly freak out when the first person shows up, by the third I'm having fun, it's really nice.

I have to say, the whole night was really nice, even though I wasn't a server. I actually prefer not being a server, because I was able to walk around and stop at tables and see how they were enjoying thier night, instead of running all over the place! Well check out the slideshow above to see just really how much fun it was!

First Sunburn of the Season

So yesterday I spent my day helping out my library at the annual book/bake sale. I spent my day watching the bounce house, out in the sun. From 8:00am - 2:40pm I was sitting in front of the bounce house reading my book (Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead). Okay, so when I say the book Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead (the one which comes out on the 18th) the library copy came in Thursday, so I was able to read it all day Saturday (great!). So my sunburn is in a triangle shape since, I was wearing a blue tee-shirt with a "v cut" on my back. I have a red sun burn on my back in the shape of a v, it's really cool. Well it does hurt, but I need to get at least one sun burn a year, and all in all it was totally  worth it, since my library made a little over $1,200!! Which is amazing!!! To see how much support we got yesterday makes me realize that there is no way that our town will close/combine us without a fight!!!

Mom did I sign myself up for this?

Well you all know I'm a Girl Scout, so I'm done selling cookies, and I'm waiting to hear when I'll be picking them up, I was sending emails to our cookie moms last night, but then we get a phone call from Trish, saying that no one from our troop showed up, so guess who had to go? You're right ME and my MOM! Mom and I have been doing cookies forever, I kind of even got her to be the Service Unit Cookie Mom, so we get there and mom and I are loading the 60 cases of Girl Scout cookies into my dad's truck. We get home and unload them, while mom and I are unloaded I looked at mom and asked "Please tell me that I didn't sign myself up for this?", she started laughing. I just finsihed organizing all the cookies for the girls in my girl scout troop, who will be coming throughout this weekend, so I can get these 60 cases of Girl Scout Cookies out of my house!!!

I never though I would be helping out with cookies again, but I guess I thought wrong. Now only if parents would return my phone calls. Well I'll be happier after I get all of these cookies out of my house!

Prime Rib Dinner Update

Per my agreement with you guys, I would tell you how the Prime Rib Dinner went. Well it went great! I didn’t mess up at all! I will definitely be waitressing the future. I even have a picture of me and my friend V in out uniforms.

I’m on the right. We made over $1,000 more than what is needed for out printer! I’m soooo happy!

Prime Rib Dinner

As you all know, my library has been undergoing some budget cuts, and just recently we closed the budget gap, and now we are having another fundraiser tonight. The Prime Rib Dinner will hopefully be a huge success. The main reason for this fundraiser is that our printer stinks. And gets very moody, we learned that from the last fundraiser (Auction). Hopefully we will make over $650, and we will be getting a 4 in 1 printer soon. Wish us luck, and I will let you know how it goes, and hope that as I waitress tonight, I won’t make a fool of myself.

Funraising Ideas!

As you guys know, my library has been going under some budget cuts, and to fill in the gap from the budget cuts, we have been doing a lot of fundraising. So to help them out, I had to use my resources wisely and use my contacts. My Uncle works at Uno’s and sells Pampered Chef, two things that can fundraise. Pampered Chef would be a wonderful Catalog party since we don’t have the room for a demonstration, and Uno’s has a dough raiser, which you choose a night for your organization, hand out vouchers, and everyone who shows up on that night, part of the proceeds will go towards your organization.

Check into some of local fundraisers that can help out an organization that you are a part of.
Sincerely,
C
