Oh My Goodness! & What Latin Can Do To Your Day

Oh My Goodness!!

So I'm watching NCIS, from last week, and I knew that throughout this past season NCIS has been looking into Gibbs past, and this episode is the one that adds to it!! I'm not going to ruin it if you enjoy NCIS, but Oh My Goodness!!

What Latin Can Do To Your Day

So I kind of stopped Latin and since reading The Gospel According to Starbucks and attempting to take some PSAT tests, I have learned that Latin will help me tremendously to learn what the words mean in the English section, I might actually have a chance of passing the SATs & PSATs. BUT I did my Latin yesterday before work, and just about the whole day was off. Mom and I were snippy at each other, before work I spilled my coffee on my pants (only some of it-luckily), I then (let's hope my boss isn't reading) for got to change the open sign to open, luckily Father Dan came and he changed it for me. I then did drop multiple books and DVDs (only the cases of DVDs). Then when I had singing rehearsal I totally messed up, and couldn't hit any of the high notes. So Latin totally messed up my whole day yesterday, but yet I'm doing Latin today!

My Titanic Fetish

So I have this huge fetish of the Titanic, ever since I first heard about it, I loved it. So everything about the Titanic I want to check out, a DVD, the movie with Kate Winslet, a book, museum, speaker, etc. My library recently got a DVD called Titanic's Final Moments: Missing Pieces This DVD shows some amazing things, and they find some missing pieces (literally). If you enjoy the Titanic, or just want to learn a little more about the Titanic, this movie is a great way to start!

Check out the widget below for some more Titanic DVDs
P.S. Did you know that the Titanic has two sister ships? The Britanic and Olympic. There was one person, Violet Jessop who has survived all three sister ship sinkings. Check her book out Titanic Survivor.

My Only Lifetime Boyfriend ♥

So my favorite character on Buffy the Vampire Sayer is Giles. Giles is Buffy's watcher who came from England. He is also a librarian (you can see my love for him there then, can't you?). Giles has become one of my favorite characters, because he's. . .because he's Giles. If you've seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't seen Buffy the Vampire Slayer watch Season 1 (not the movie that came out in the 2000). You will see the beginning of Giles and Buffy, well and Angel, but Angel is irrelevant.

Giles is the most amazing person on Buffy, well other than Buffy. I was recently talking to a friend of mine who has an amazing boy friend, that the only boy friend that I currently have, and know will always be there is Giles. Because I watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer at night, and Giles is always on Buffy.

"Mom I'm not a Duggar!"

So this morning I was testing new hairstyles, since I'm and teenager and I'm bored of the same high/low pony tail or the lazy bun, so I started scrunching my hair, this morning I scrunched it and mom wanted to add a twist to it. Once she was done I looked in the mirror and the first thing that popped into my head was Jessa Duggar. See my mom loves the Duggars, and it the way my hair looked looked just like Jessa's hair. So let's see a comparison.

Me

Jessa Duggar

Well, I guess I went out of my normal hair days and into a new.

What was your last "new" hairstyle that you tried?

With love

How Much TV Should Kids Watch?

My DF (dear father) wants my brother and I to graph our computer, tv, and phone time. Computer – ok. We’re only allowed on for an hour (whole different story). Phone – OK. I’m the only one that uses it and I am only allowed 30 minutes per time (one hour total). But – TV –I don’t watch that much non-educational tv – maybe 3 hours on Thursday (Survivor is a must!), but other than that it is the news or music choice. I feel that Dad wants to limit us even more. I already don’t have time like all my friends do, nor do I have that cell phone that everyone else does (excluding my brother, he is still in that age group that doesn’t need one), but why limit me on tv? It is usually news and music, but I don’t watch music. It’s not like I don’t ask to go and use it, but when I do it is only for 2-3pm or 3-4pm for A Haunting on Discovery Channel and on Thursday 8-9pm on CBS for Survivor. I always ask and my mom always has the right to say “no”.

What is your view on this?

Note: At this time, there is no judgment of what DH is going to do with this information and frankly, I think it will be interesting to everyone to see what the truth is of their viewing habits.

Survivor - Gabon

Watch CBS Videos Online

I figure we better get to know them, because I am sure this will be a huge part of our blog over the next few months. DD has been a fan since the very first episode. She would put off doing things in her "real" life to make sure that we were home to see her show (thank goodness for the internet and On Demand Cable - now we can live and still see Survivor). Some people questioned if she was too young to watch the show when it first came out, but not only have we found it to be a good family show. On those occassions that the content becomes questionable like nudity for peanut butter or Johnny Fairplay's Grandmother game, we have had some very good ethical behavior conversations. So I warn you all, don't call our home from 8-9pm EST on Thursday evenings - at least not for the next few months. And on those evenings that we have Girl Scouts first, moms, you better do your talking to me before the meetings, because I am under strict instructions to get home ASAP.

Is anyone else a Survivor Fan out there?
