Writing Love Letters - not just for love birds

It was funny to read C’s blog today. I was just reading about love letters on another blog and her note reminds me that we should be sure to tell everyone that we love that we do love them. So here is just a few of the many, many reasons that I think my DD is cool:

She writes me notes
She loves to read
She cooks delicious Fettuccini Alfredo and Shrimp Fried Rice (and more but those are just some of her specialties)
She learned to play the keyboard in about a day
She saved a ton of money and works hard to keep track of it.
She speaks her mind
She is a wonderful developing actress
She sings with me and is willing to wear a costume.
She is like looking in a mirror (and she has done it so much better than I did)
She isn’t afraid to try things
She is a bit of a daredevil
She has style.
She is really good a word games. I don’t have to handicap her anymore. In fact, I may need one.

I could go on for hours, but that would probably bore you all. But I hope this post shows you how important C is to me, but also encourages you to tell someone that you love how very special they are to you.

P.S. She can make minute rice : )

“You’re Not Cool Enough, Mom!”

The past couple days, I’ve been thinking about the last couple months, I wouldn’t want to sit with my mom because she wasn’t “cool” enough, and wow…..I was acting like a brat, during then with moving and all, but then last night I realized something. Out of most of the moms of my friends (not my G.S. Friends because they’re cool!), my mom would be the coolest, she goes shopping with me, and well the clothes she chooses aren’t horrible. My mom who I’ve been embarrassed around once and a while, is really cool, she’s a mom that is one of the coolest moms, and I’ve been blind to that, so this post is to thank her, for being there, and also an apology for being a brat and annoying most of the times. Thanks Mom! For always being there for me, even thou I didn’t see it most of the time.

The Benefits of Being A Parental Taxi

There are many, many times that I have to drive the kids here and there, primarily DD. Many times I get the joy of sitting in my car for hours. Sometimes, I read. Sometimes, I write. Occasionally, I ‘ve been known to take a nap. Today though, I got a rare treat. As I dropped DD at play rehearsal, I saw people gathered on the common and a sign for a free concert. Awesome, a true blessing to the end of my Sunday.

Church Hunt

Well since we moved over an hour half away from my “hometown”, so going to the same church wouldn’t work. We have now been looking for a new church. This is something that I don’t like to do, I’ve grown up in my old church, and it’s weird not to see E. or J. at church, but now there is a church that I like, and we’ll this is our second week going. The church almost….Key word Almost! looks like our church

But it’s nice…..it’s a good as it’ll get, well except for going to our original church.

Well next Sunday will be BWM (Before We Move), We’re going to our old church because it is our minister, E.’s, birthday and well we want to celebrate it with him and the congregation.

The Library's Website went GREAT!

The library’s website wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. It is really one big blog, and I was able to do it, I spent 4 hours working on adding events, and adding tabs, deleting events, making a “Teen Scene”, and I’m still not done! But it’s better than it was, and I enjoyed it. There is a lot more work to do, but right now I love how it looks.

HTML=Horrible Death!

As you all know I’m volunteering at my new library. Well I also learned that I’m the ONLY volunteer! It’s not like they have a bunch of full time staff, because they don’t they only have 2! Only Two Full Time Staff!!! How is that even possible, I can from a huge library, with roughly 10 full time staff, and about 25 volunteers DAILY. So today, I’m getting trained on how to change their website, so I can keep it updated, and make it look better than my old library’s website (my words…Sorry Mrs. T.). The use of HTML will kill me! I’ve been studying HTML for the past couple days, and I feel sorry for my uncle, this is his blog, who is going into computer something, and it involves HTML. Well for those that don’t know much about HTML, just start learning. I googled HTML, but I found some good websites. This website, gave me alot of information. Well those that knows a lot about HTML, WOW! That’s a lot of work! I’ll let you know how the training went. Maybe with HTML, it can make your blog the next “it” blog.

Summer Reading with Friends

Last night I was talking to my friend over AIM, and she reads a little, but not as much as I do, and I love reading, but then something happened, see last summer she said that reading was a waste of the time for the summer months, but last night she asked me for some good summer reads, and well I have read a ton, that she would like. I told her to check out my We-Read bookshelf on Facebook, give me the title of the book, and I’ll tell her if it was good. I ended up giving her around 15 books for the summer, all good books, and I think people should get more involved with reading. I’m currently reading Cindy Ella by Robin Palmer, but I also have three books on order from Border’s that is somewhere in Ohio, that I’ll be donating to my Small New Little Library. I’ve read two out of the three, and the third is the continuation of the series. I read the first two last summers at my old library. They were quick summer reads. The series is called Death By. There are currently three in the series; Death by Bikini, Death by Latte, and Death by Denim. They are a mystery series, but they are a good quick summer read. I posted some books that I’ve read that you can find on Amazon

To homeschool or Not to Homeschool

Friday. . . Tuesday . . . Two days, two different places, one question, only one answer. Well as most of you know I’m a teenager. I’m a homeschooler teenager; I’ve been homeschooler for the past six years. I’ve been wanting to go to school for high school for the longest time. We also recently moved to a new town, in a new state. Once we “settled” in, I decided to tour the public school, and a little catholic school down the street. Tuesday-Day One of School at St. TA, St. T.A. starts with a Latin Mass, which I don’t mind, but since I’m not catholic it was a little confusing, but once school started I loved it. The whole High School fits in one class and that’s nice. I sat through two classes, and once we left I knew that the Public School has a pretty high bar to raise. Thursday I went to the public high school, the day flew by, it didn’t feel like it was long enough to be a full school day, but then again I haven’t be school for the past six years, so maybe it was just the feeling of being back in the school, going down the halls. We finished off with Spanish; I knew that if I was going to go into High School, I would love the Spanish Two teacher. He was sooooo cool. He was like a mix of Mrs. T and E. Loud, but was like a walking encyclopedia. Well now it’s decision time. I’ll be making lists of pro and cons to see what I should do. Should I stay homeschooled? Go to St. T.A.? Or Should I go to the public school? Give me your pro’s and con’s , or your advice. It’s greatly appreciated =]

Everything has a Story

Today I volunteered at the local horse rescue up the street, and well I was changing to water, and this one horse, that I love sooo much now. His name is Tucker, he is about 3 ft tall, and well he would watch me every time I walked into his stall, to get the water bucket, to fill the water bucket, put hay in his stall, it was cute.

Well at this horse barn, they are all rescues, they all have a story, and we all need to listen. This is Tucker’s Story
“TUCKER is a 4 y.o. miniature horse. Tucker has one eye. His former owner believes he might have been kicked by a larger horse and had to have that eye removed. That doesn't seem to matter to him at all, he has adjusted very well to his condition, he has quite the personality and loves attention.”

If you want to adopt horses, and check out the horses that CNEER has please go to CNEER Website or check out their blog CNEER Blog

New Moon Movie. . .!

The New Moon movie to come out November 20th 2009... The sequel to Twilight, the trailer was released at the MTV Movie awards.

New Moon

From what it shows, they haven’t improved the color of the vampires, but the movie does look very good. Will you go out and watch the movie, or will you not watch it because they couldn’t portray them well in Twilight, so why watch the sequel?

My Small New Little Library

Well I don’t know if you guys know, but we moved. Our house finally sold, and we moved. We moved to the smaller town (half the size), but it’s cute and I’ll live. The only thing that I’ll complain about is the library. I used to volunteer at my old library, but now, I’m volunteering at my new small library. We always said that our old library was small

but small just got a whole new meaning. I now volunteer there every week, and slowly I’m figuring out what’s going on and why they’re trying to close it. I sent a letter to the editor, because this library might be small, but it’s grown a lot within the past 5 years, and well it has a huge collection! I think that people just don’t see what it has to offer. For those reading this, go check out your public library, and go see what you can do, or what they offer. You’ll see its fun to go to the library.

Luv,
♥ C
