1st Grade Teacher :)

So last night I had a dream that involved my 1st & 2nd grade teacher and most of the other teachers that worked with me through my two years in elementary school. So this morning when I woke up, I decided to see if I could find her email through the school district and send her an email - - - Luckily I knew her last name, but for whatever reason I couldn't remember her first. So I searched the website to see if somewhere it was listed. About thirty minutes into it, I finally found a whole list and found my first grade teacher, we'll call her Mizz B ; ) Well I found Mizz B's email and decided to send her an email, let me tell you, I haven't seen or talked to her in at least 8 or 7 years. So I sent her a little email saying "Hi Mizz B, it's Cae, you had me in your firs and second grade class in 2000 (man am I old). I just wanted to see how you were doing, and have a merry Christmas!"

I waited all day for a response to this email, and I finally got it when I came home from work. Being in contact with Mizz B, made my whole day :) She was an amazing 1st & 2nd grade teacher, and she probably still is. I remember when Mizz B would play the guitar for the class, and she also told us a story about the Christmas Crow, which I still remember to this day.

I'm hoping that she'll find her way here, since I emailed her the link.

Merry Christmas,
Cae

"My" Blank

Since I moved I’ve learned that I called everything in my old town, “my”, for example
My Library DPL
My Church UCD
My minister Elven
My Choir Director Jill
My Hometown
With moving, and being in limbo, I’ve been able to drop the My blank, I now say “My old minister Elven” etc, but I’ve only been able to replace one “my” in the new town, and that’s been the library, I now call WWPL “MY” Library. I was recently informed by the director of the library, that I talk less and less about DPL (my old library). In between my real life and the life I’ve been portraying in my story, I have written myself a four year contract as a volunteer to the library (even thou they don’t know it). Since I was entering H.S. I was debating if I should go back to school, and it ended up being between the Publc School, a Private school, and being homeschooled. One day in Kentucky on our way back home I called my mom, she said that she stopped at the library and talked to the director, and the director told my mom that she didn’t want to give me too much work, for fear that the library will lose me, and I would decided to go to school. Needless to say, that made my decision. I figured that if the library loves me that much, I don’t think that I could watch myself “give up” on my library. The moral of the story, for whoever is reading this is well, go to the library in your town, and make you “your” library, not the town’s library.

To homeschool or Not to Homeschool

Friday. . . Tuesday . . . Two days, two different places, one question, only one answer. Well as most of you know I’m a teenager. I’m a homeschooler teenager; I’ve been homeschooler for the past six years. I’ve been wanting to go to school for high school for the longest time. We also recently moved to a new town, in a new state. Once we “settled” in, I decided to tour the public school, and a little catholic school down the street. Tuesday-Day One of School at St. TA, St. T.A. starts with a Latin Mass, which I don’t mind, but since I’m not catholic it was a little confusing, but once school started I loved it. The whole High School fits in one class and that’s nice. I sat through two classes, and once we left I knew that the Public School has a pretty high bar to raise. Thursday I went to the public high school, the day flew by, it didn’t feel like it was long enough to be a full school day, but then again I haven’t be school for the past six years, so maybe it was just the feeling of being back in the school, going down the halls. We finished off with Spanish; I knew that if I was going to go into High School, I would love the Spanish Two teacher. He was sooooo cool. He was like a mix of Mrs. T and E. Loud, but was like a walking encyclopedia. Well now it’s decision time. I’ll be making lists of pro and cons to see what I should do. Should I stay homeschooled? Go to St. T.A.? Or Should I go to the public school? Give me your pro’s and con’s , or your advice. It’s greatly appreciated =]
