My Love of Horses
In CT I started Horseback riding when I was 10ish. The late quit when I was 12ish, because I was a busy child inbetween baseball, Girl Scouts, soccer, basketball, school, Sunday School, Jr. Choir, Church, My job, and homework, there wasn't much time for me to horseback ride, and plus the owner of the barn focused more on selling the horses then having the rider build up a relationship with her horse.
Now in MA, three doors up my road there is a horse recuse. CNEER is the best! CNEER buys horses from slaughter, helps the horse to become well behaved, and healthy, and then the horse is put up for adoption. The owner of the rescue is glad that I live so close, because eventually we'll build up a relationship and when she is going somewhere, and can't remember if she put the horses in, she could call to me double check. Even though we don't have land for a horse, and dad doesn't want a horse, I can have seven horses three doors up, and I can play with them and give them all the love that they need!
