Tell us about the teachers from your school days. Who were your favorites? Why did you like them? How did they influence your life, your occupation, or another aspect? Have you ever gone back & seen or contacted a favorite teacher to express your appreciation? Do you still keep up with any of your teachers? Was Teacher Appreciation Day/Week celebrated when you were in school? (Just share about favorites this week; we'll visit the not-so-stellar teacher memories another day!)
Okay, I have to say I only have had two teachers that tought me in school. But I did have Sunday School teachers do they count? I loved both of the teachers that I had in public school, for Kindergarten I had Mrs. Foreman, who was amazing and she let us play in the sand box ;) I actually have seen Mrs. Foreman a couple years ago while babysitting at the school playground! Then for first and second grade I had Mizz B. Mizz B. was amazing and played the guitar almost daily for the class, she also helped me with my spelling (which I'm still bad at) and was really awesome! After second grade, my mom pulled me out of school and homeschooled me, so I've been homeschooled since!
Sunday School! One of the funner reasons at the time to go to church! My favorite teacher (and still is) is Mrs. Smiles (I love her last name don't you?)!! Mrs. Smiles well always smiles, she was also very nice, and was a great teacher for sixth grade. I still love when I visit my CT hometown and get to see Mrs. Smiles she is just amazing!! Mrs. Smiles also helped me with my last big decision (I know not everyone reads my blog, so to read my last big decision click HERE!). Mrs. Smiles was on the KY trip with the church, and she was Catholic, so she and I took a walk and I talked about why/why not I shouldn't go to Catholic School, Public School, or stay homeschooled. Mrs. Smiles helped me and told me why she is now Congregationalist, and it helped me a lot with my decision. Another favorite for church was the minister E, E taught confirmation class and is a walking encyclopedia (a good thing for confirmation class, not a good thing for math class)! Not only did E teach with his knowledge, but he also made me think about going into ministry, even though I no longer want to go that way in life, being a minister will always seem cool to me thanks to E!
I don't remember celebrating Teach Appreciation, but I would always get my teachers something at the end of the school year just to thank them for putting up with me :)
Enjoied my flashback (not that it went back so far)? Well check out Linda's blog Mocha with Linda and write your own flashback!!

I'm so glad you participated and Sunday School teachers are a great inclusion!
Linda-Thanks :) I had pretty slim pickings since I only had 2 teachers in my life, other then my mom since she pulled me out of school at the end of 2nd grade.
